Training the Mind Series™ Brings Mental Health and Performance Conversations to Intuit Dome Ahead Clippers vs. Thunder
Phoenix, AZ — February 10, 2026 — The Training the Mind Series™, a nationally coordinated mental health awareness and wellbeing activation, will host an exclusive pregame experience on Court B at Intuit Dome on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, ahead of the LA Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game.
The American Board of Sports & Performance Psychiatry, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and American Psychiatric Association Foundation are partnering with the Training the Mind Series™ to curate unique programming including a brief panel featuring Dr. Brook Choulet, Rawle Andrews Jr., Esq., and a representative from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Following this brief discussion, Kojo Sarfo will be performing a stand up comedy set.
Curated by Brook Choulet, MD (The Performance Psychiatrist®), the private event will feature a high-impact pregame panel with leaders across sports, mental health, and performance, exploring how elite athletes train the mind to manage pressure, sustain peak performance, and thrive on and off the court. The pregame event will take place 5:00–6:30 PM at Intuit Dome in a private venue on Court B and includes game tickets for attendees. Following the panel, guests can participate in live play on the court before heading to their seats for tip-off.
As part of the evening, the American Board of Sports & Performance Psychiatry, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the American Psychiatric Association Foundation will be recognized as the Nonprofits of the Game during the Clippers’ matchup versus the Thunder.
Launched in winter 2025 with activations across three NFL game days, the Training the Mind Series™ is among the first multi-market initiatives designed to embed mental health and mental performance conversations into live professional sports settings, transforming arenas and stadiums into platforms for meaningful dialogue, education, and community impact.
