High performers don’t just need care… they need a partner who understands the pressure of excellence.
I built my practice because the individuals driving our world forward, athletes, executives, creators, and exceptional young minds, deserve a level of mental health care that honors the intensity, ambition, and complexity of their lives.
Widely known as The Performance Psychiatrist®, I am a third-generation board-certified psychiatrist who grew up watching mental health care transform lives. From a young age, I saw how clarity, resilience, and emotional strength could shape someone’s trajectory. What I didn’t see was a mental health model built for the people who operate at the highest levels: those who manage pressure, public scrutiny, high stakes, and nonstop expectations.
So I created one.
I founded Choulet Performance Psychiatry® to bring concierge-level, discreet, performance-driven care to those who need more than traditional psychiatry can offer. Today, my boutique locations in Scottsdale, Beverly Hills, and San Diego serve children, adolescents, adults, athletes, executives, entertainers, and families who are navigating unique pressures and require a physician who understands excellence from the inside out.
I’m Dr. Brook Choulet
I help high-performing individuals, families, teams, and organizations protect their mental well-being, sharpen their performance, and achieve sustainable success through discreet, concierge-level care built for the demands of elite lifestyles.
My career has taken me from NBA courts to WNBA locker rooms, from NCAA Division I programs to Olympic training environments, from corporate boardrooms to national television studios. I have the privilege of serving as the Lead Consulting Psychiatrist for the Professional Tennis Players Association, Contracted Sports Psychiatrist for Arizona State University Athletics, Lead Mental Health Clinician for USA Team Handball, and a trusted resource listed on the NFLPA, NBPA, MLBPA, USOPC, and USSF mental-health registries. I’m also honored to have served as the Consulting Team Psychiatrist for the NBA's Phoenix Suns and the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, and to have led the country’s first series of NFL “Raise Awareness for Mental Health” activations with the Cardinals, Rams, and Washington Commanders — a national milestone in athlete mental health advocacy.
Beyond direct care, I am deeply committed to elevating the field itself. I serve as President and a Founding Member of the American Board of Sports & Performance Psychiatry, President of the Maricopa County Medical Society Foundation, and an advisor to national organizations including the Kevin Love Fund, Forbes Health, and Athletes for Hope. As a writer and speaker, my work appears in Forbes SportsMoney, Forbes Health, Psychology Today, The Washington Post, and Sports Business Journal, and I’m frequently featured across major media for my expertise in athlete and performance mental health. And while my professional world revolves around high achievement, my personal life is grounded in what matters most: family, purpose, and helping people achieve well-being to support sustainable, long-term success.
