Inside Our New Boutique Concierge Psychiatry Office in Scottsdale's Gainey Ranch

When I founded Choulet Performance Psychiatry® in 2020, I had a very specific vision for what the psychiatric experience could look and feel like.

I wanted to create something different. A place where patients felt genuinely welcomed, where privacy was thoughtfully protected, and where the entire experience reflected the same level of individualized attention they received during their appointments.

In September 2026, we opened the doors to our new boutique concierge psychiatry office in Scottsdale's Gainey Ranch neighborhood. After months of thoughtfully planning every detail, I couldn't be more excited to welcome patients into this beautiful new space.

What many people may not realize is how intentional nearly every design decision was. From the location of our entrance to the direction our windows face, I approached the entire project through one question:

How would I want to feel if I were the patient walking into this office?

That question became the foundation for everything we created.

Privacy Begins Before You Walk Through the Door

As a concierge psychiatrist in Scottsdale, I work with individuals and families who place tremendous value on discretion.

Our practice serves professional athletes, executives, physicians, entrepreneurs, public figures, children, adolescents, and families navigating the unique pressures of demanding lives.

For many of these individuals, privacy isn't simply a preference. It's an essential part of feeling comfortable seeking care.

When searching for our new office, I knew that discretion needed to extend beyond the walls of our treatment rooms.

Our Gainey Ranch location offers a discreet entrance with convenient first-floor access directly from the parking area. Patients can arrive and enter without navigating crowded elevators, busy building lobbies, or heavily trafficked common spaces.

This was one of my most important considerations when selecting our new home.

I never want someone to feel unnecessarily exposed simply because they're arriving for a psychiatric appointment.

The ability to park, walk directly into the office, and avoid high-visibility areas may seem like a small detail, but it's one that I believe can meaningfully shape the patient experience.

To me, protecting privacy begins long before a patient sits down for their appointment.

Floor-to-Ceiling Windows Without Compromising Privacy

One of my favorite architectural features of our new Scottsdale office is the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a private landscaped outdoor area.

I wanted natural light and greenery to be an important part of the experience. There's something about looking out onto a peaceful, landscaped setting that immediately makes a space feel more welcoming.

But finding the right views required a very specific consideration.

All of our office windows face a private landscaped area without pedestrian traffic.

That means patients can enjoy an open, light-filled setting without the distraction or discomfort of people constantly walking past the windows.

It was important to create a balance between openness and discretion.

For someone who spends their day in back-to-back meetings, high-pressure environments, or highly visible professional settings, I wanted walking into our office to feel like a meaningful change of pace.

A place where they could step away from the demands of the outside world and focus entirely on themselves.

Bringing Boutique Hospitality Into Psychiatric Care

I've always appreciated the thoughtful details that distinguish an exceptional boutique hotel or private hospitality experience.

It's rarely one extravagant feature that makes a space memorable. It's the combination of small decisions that make someone feel anticipated, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

I wanted to bring that same philosophy into our private psychiatry office in Scottsdale.

Rather than creating a traditional medical waiting room, we designed a welcoming reception space inspired by boutique hospitality and residential interiors.

A warm, neutral color palette, carefully selected furnishings, natural wood elements, contrasting dark accents, and statement lighting create an atmosphere that feels sophisticated without being intimidating.

Comfortable seating encourages patients to settle in rather than feel as though they're waiting in a clinical environment.

We also introduced thoughtful touches throughout the patient experience, including bottled water, San Pellegrino, refreshments, and specially curated gifts for new patients.

Even the soft background music was intentionally selected to create a relaxed atmosphere.

I realize these details aren't what determine the quality of psychiatric treatment. Clinical expertise, trust, and the therapeutic relationship will always come first.

But I also believe the environment surrounding that care matters.

Patients shouldn't have to choose between exceptional medical care and an exceptional patient experience.

They deserve both.

A Space Designed for Meaningful Conversations

The design of our new office reflects the philosophy behind our concierge psychiatry model.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is developing meaningful, long-term relationships with the patients and families I serve.

I intentionally maintain a limited personal patient panel so that I can remain accessible and provide highly individualized care.

That means learning about far more than someone's symptoms or diagnosis.

I get to know their families, careers, goals, relationships, and the unique pressures they navigate. I love receiving messages between appointments sharing an exciting accomplishment, an important milestone, or even something that didn't go as planned.

Those moments are a reminder that psychiatric care extends far beyond what happens during a scheduled visit.

When designing our individual consultation rooms, I wanted them to feel comfortable and personal, with thoughtful seating arrangements, soft textures, artwork, and furnishings that encourage conversation.

My hope is that patients feel they're entering a space where they can be fully themselves, without judgment or unnecessary formality.

This is especially important when working with individuals who spend much of their lives being expected to perform, lead, achieve, or support everyone around them.

Sometimes, the most valuable part of an appointment is simply having a space where none of those expectations need to exist.

A Welcoming Environment for Children, Adolescents, and Families

Another important consideration was creating an environment that could comfortably welcome patients across different stages of life.

Although much of my professional work involves elite athletes and high-performing adults, I also provide psychiatric care for children ages five and older, adolescents, and families.

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist serving Scottsdale families, I recognize that younger patients may have very different feelings about attending their first psychiatric appointment.

For some children and teenagers, the idea of visiting a psychiatrist can feel intimidating or unfamiliar.

I wanted our new office to feel approachable and comfortable without looking or feeling like a traditional pediatric medical setting.

A warm, thoughtfully furnished environment can help create a more welcoming first impression for children, teenagers, and their parents.

Our concierge model also allows us to take a personalized approach to family care, with thoughtful collaboration, attention to developmental needs, and an understanding of the academic, social, athletic, and family pressures young people may experience.

Whether I'm meeting with a young athlete navigating performance anxiety, a teenager struggling with perfectionism, or an executive balancing enormous professional responsibilities, my goal is the same: to provide exceptional psychiatric care in an environment where each person feels respected and understood.

Why We Chose Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale

Location was another important part of this project.

Our new office is located in the Gainey Ranch Financial Center at 7377 E. Doubletree Ranch Road, Suite A-185, Scottsdale, Arizona.

I wanted to remain conveniently accessible to our patients in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Arcadia, and the surrounding communities while finding a location that offered the privacy and atmosphere we envisioned.

For our patients balancing demanding schedules, convenience can make a significant difference in their ability to prioritize ongoing mental healthcare.

The combination of accessible parking, first-floor entry, a discreet setting, and beautiful landscaped views made this location an ideal fit.

I also love that Gainey Ranch is such an established part of the Scottsdale community.

As someone who has built my practice in Arizona, it means a great deal to continue growing here while creating something that I hope contributes to a higher standard for the local patient experience.

Redefining the Concierge Psychiatry Experience in Scottsdale

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in some of the most demanding environments in professional sports, executive leadership, and high-performance medicine.

Those experiences have reinforced my belief that exceptional care requires understanding the individual behind the achievements.

At Choulet Performance Psychiatry®, our concierge model is designed around that philosophy.

We provide personalized psychiatric care for adults, children, and adolescents, alongside specialized sports and performance psychiatry services.

Our approach emphasizes thoughtful evaluations, continuity of care, direct physician communication, individualized treatment planning, and the discretion our patients value.

Our new office is a physical extension of that philosophy.

It's a space designed to make psychiatric care feel more personal, more welcoming, and more thoughtfully integrated into the lives of the people we serve.

I don't believe luxury in healthcare needs to mean extravagance.

To me, true luxury in healthcare is intentionality. It's privacy. It's accessibility. It's feeling known, respected, and genuinely cared for.

And often, it's the details you don't immediately notice that make the biggest difference.

Welcome to Our Next Chapter

When I look back at the practice I started in 2020, I feel incredibly grateful for the patients and families who have trusted us with such personal parts of their lives.

Our new boutique office in Gainey Ranch represents much more than a change of address.

It reflects years of learning what matters most to our patients and continuously refining the experience we provide.

From the private entrance and peaceful landscaped views to the carefully curated interiors and small hospitality touches, every decision was made with our patients in mind.

My hope is that when someone walks into our office, they immediately recognize that this is a different kind of psychiatric experience.

Not simply because of how the space looks, but because of the thought, care, and intention behind it.

I'm incredibly proud of what we've created, and I look forward to welcoming our patients and families into this next chapter.
