Dr. Brook Choulet, M.D., The Performance Psychiatrist™, is a nationally recognized, board-certified psychiatrist who provides discreet, concierge-level care to elite performers — including athletes, executives, professionals, and their families. She is the Founder and CEO of Choulet Performance Psychiatry®, where she works with children, adolescents, and adults and has boutique practice locations in Scottsdale, Beverly Hills, San Diego, and Bellevue.
She currently serves as the Contracted Sports Psychiatrist for Arizona State University, providing care for over 650 Division I student-athletes, and is the Lead Mental Health Clinician for USA Team Handball. Dr. Choulet is listed on the NFLPA, NBPA, USOPC, MLBPA, and USSF mental health registries and has shaped mental wellness programming at the highest levels of sport. Her past roles include working as the Consulting Team Psychiatrist for the NBA Phoenix Suns and WNBA Phoenix Mercury.
Dr. Choulet is the President of the American Board of Sports and Performance Psychiatry, where she is also one of the seven founding members, and the President of the Maricopa County Medical Society Foundation.
Her pioneering work in Performance Psychiatry® focuses on helping high-achievers and their families optimize their mental health and enhance their performance, both personally and professionally. She is passionate about helping them elevate their well-being and lead more fulfilling lives.
A thought leader in her field, Dr. Choulet is a regular contributor to Forbes SportsMoney, serves on the Advisory Board for Forbes Health and Athletes for Hope, and has been featured across national platforms for her expertise in athlete mental health and performance psychiatry.
Dr. Choulet earned her medical degree at age 24 and completed her general psychiatry training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. She went on to complete a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry through Creighton University, affiliated with Valleywise Health. A third-generation psychiatrist, she continues the legacy of her mother and grandfather as a physician dedicated to helping individuals achieve exceptional mental health and performance.
